Went to the range yesterday with my new SR9c and fired off 50 rounds. Not much, but I only had a short window of time. Zero malfunctions.

The reviews are correct. Very smooth trigger. I look forward to many years with this gun.

I had my heart set on the Glock 19. However, saving $100 at this point was a huge plus. I also like the safety. I still hope to add a Glock sometime down the road - they are great pistols.

Good, that Ruger will make a great carry gun when you get your HCP, as you stated in your introductory thread.

I've never actually fired one of the SR series pistols but many people love them.

A buddy of mine has the SR9c and loves it. I got to shoot it at the range one day, and it is a very smooth gun. Hope you get to send some more rounds down range soon.

I have one also. I still like my G19 better, but it is a fine little gun. Zero malfunctions so far with around 500 rounds. My wife took her carry permit class with it. She really likes it.

I have one as well, probably about 6 or 700 rounds on it. I use it as my carry gun with hornady critical defense rounds. I dont have many handguns, but of the ones i have its my favorite shooter. Never had a problem out of it and accuracy is good too. Enjoy it

I was in the same boat wanted a wanted a glock 19 but got the sr9c because of money. Haven't been disappointed, love the trigger over 800 rounds no ftfs.

Thanks for the replies. I love the G19, and one day will have one. For now, I love my Ruger. Nice to know your wife qualified with it. It is what I will be shooting as well.

Congrats on the new SR9c. I have one, and it shoots as good as any other 9mm that I have ever shot. I always recommend it if someone asks me for a 9mm pistol recomendation. :2cents:

Congrats on the SR9C. A word of advice. Don't let wife or girlfriend shoot it. :ugh: I let my wife try mind. She liked it so you know the rest of the story. I purchased another one. Let my daughter try it. She liked it. I am now on my third SR9C. Guess you can just call us a three Ruger family.

Can't think of a better testimony than this!

I've held an SR9C at the local gun shop. Very nice in the hand. I'd buy one... I just can't get past the excessively large loaded chamber indicator. Seems petty (and it probably is), but that thing just kills it for me.

Surprisingly it doesn't bother me in the least, and I read about the dislike of it by others before I bought it.

I'm very pleased with the SR9 I purchased a few months back, better out of the box sites and trigger than any Glock I've owned or shot. SR9c owners and a friend who owns a LGS have advised me that the SR9c trigger is even better. The external frame mounted safety and magazine disconnect are non-issue’s to me, I've trained with 1911 and BHP pistol's quite a bit. Gun handling and practical shooting skill sets are all about training, complainers complain but serious folk's train.

I use a SR9c as my EDC. I like it better than any gun I own.
