Hi All:

As part of the Friends of NRA State Conference, TGO is "hosting" a dinner Friday evening near the hotel conference attendees are staying. (Comfort Inn West Nashville, Whitebridge Rd at I-40) All TGO members, regardless of whether you will be attending the NRA conference are invited. Dutch treat.

Restaurant and time details to be posted soon, but its a Mexican place right next door to the hotel.

The shotgun shoot, what game is it? Sporting? Skeet? Five stand? I looked but couldn't find any info. And are the registered targets?

Bueno on the dinner choice!!!

Folks, this looks to be a really good event and a whole lot of the credit goes to one of TGO's own. Said another way, Len's stepping up to the plate has made a HUGE difference so far compared to last year.

Let me be direct: if you're on the fence, get off the fence and come on over to the side of mailing your check or calling Len with your credit card and come see and hear the info that's offered.

Hero Gear has been a BIG supporter of Friends of NRA events in Tennessee. Joe and the whole crew there deserve our most sincere thanks. Hero Gear staff will be at the event, so please attend and drop by and say hello.

I've just been calculating the value of our door prizes/shoot prizes. We look to be giving away between 2 and 3 THOUSAND dollars worth of merchandise and training.

Highlights:

1 Glock pistol

1 S&W J-Frame (choice of 3 different models)

1 Training/gear package

1 Rifle scope

1 Gear package

10+ misc. items.

The folks at Hero Gear, Guns & Leather, Tactical Response and Brighton Arms and others have been very generous! Thanks to all who have donated items.

Thanks to all who attended/participated. We had a good crowd at the TGO Dinner Friday evening, and several TGO members present at the event on Saturday. Joe and the crew at Hero Gear had a great display of many cool rifles & pistols that was the center of much attention. (Thanks for coming guys, although your plans for a dynamic entry of the skeet house probably bends the rules of the game a bit!)

Attendees learned three major ideas today:

1) How to grow Friends of NRA programs in TN so we can help the shooting sports even more.

2) What we can do at the grassroots level to support 2A/related political issues.

3) What NRA Foundation grant money does to support the shooting sports in TN.

We also had some great bbq for lunch and gave away plenty of door prizes, including a S&W 642 from Hero Gear and a Glock 17 from Guns & Leather. Congrats to all the winners!

Lol...

I will do my best to make that happen!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. This was my first time as an event planner, so I was a bit nervous!

Ya' did good. It was very informative, identified well with NRA members interests, provoked good throught and hopefully future intitiative, paid due homage to everyone's favorite tactical trainer, and involved some awesome barbeque!

Sounds like a good time was had by all. I'm sorry I was unable to make it. A scheduling conflict had me in Kansas City.
