I've ordered from pretty much every AR parts... place... thing out there... but never Del-ton. I've heard their customer service is superb. It notes on the website it takes about 1 -2 weeks to ship. I guess because they have to build your upper. How long has it taken any of you to get yours?

When I ordered my upper, some time ago, it was a lot quicker than that. They tend to over achieve rather than the opposite in my experience. I have also ordered other small parts and i think they are a great place to deal with.

I bought a basic, cheapie M-4gery upper from them about a year ago. They're a top-notch organization, but I'd still call first. I found that they really have their finger on the pulse and will be able to pretty much guarantee you how far out your parts will be.

I wish I could say the same thing as the rest. I called before I ordered my upper was told everything in stock should have in 1-2 weeks. Three weeks later I called to see where my order was and told it was on backorder for 6-8 weeks but they would be happy to upgrade my selection for 50 dollars more ( I might have took the offer except it was the same price to upgrade to start with) ask for the upgrade for my trouble of waiting and never receiving a phone call about a backorder and was told no. So they lost a $600 sale and several thousand other dollars of mine over $50. I shop at J&T for my stuff great service and when they double charged my card by mistake they gave me $150 dollars in free merchandise to make up for it.

I can personally recommend Garrison Manufacturing. They have a complete light weight kit for $425. It's not listed on the web-site, buy they have them, just call. I got a H-BAR CAR kit from them a few months ago and I'm very happy with it. Shipping cost $10 and I had the kit in three days!

I just finished a build with a Del-Ton kit and can't complain. About a week after ordering, I got an e-mail stating that the M4 barrels were backordered. So I called and changed my order to a lightweight barrel for $10 less and received the kit 1 week later. I should have ordered the lightweight kit to begin with, but I didn't. 2 weeks total from order to receipt, and the customer service was excellent in my opinion. They can't help that a particular barrel style was backordered. They took the steps to ensure that I was happy. As far as the completed weapon, I can't complain either. It is my fist AR, but it went together well. If I had it to do over, I probably would have used a kit from Fire for Effect. Their kits are made by CMMG. My lower was a CMMG. If I had known about FFE before, I could have made everything match (same company). Also, FFE's kits come with a mag and a sling. Good luck with the build.
