SCOTUS judge Elena Kagen was in town today at UT law school, Where my son was required to attend a talk she was giving. After her talk she told the crowd that she would like to stay in town for the ball game but had to leave because she was going ANTELOPE HUNTING with SCOTUS Judge Antonin Skalia. :stunned:

I can't believe no one else finds this as surprising as me. Ultra liberal SC judge is a hunter. Of course she may think it's OK for me to have a gun but not the common people, who knows.

I know a serious Libtard that kills more game than most of the folks here with a Marlin 336 and a pump shotgun. Hates handguns and "assault rifles". Doesn't surprise me much at all. I doubt that she's carrying an AR-15.

I too was surprised.

There is a large segment of firearm aficionados, liberal, conservative and all shades of those two political philosophies, who seem to have the opinion that a "hunting" firearm (meaning one that "looks" like a hunting firearm, in their opinion of course), is fine as is collecting firearms for the sake of collecting them but, as a group, are just as opposed to and dangerous to the public (you and me) being armed for our own protection as is any gun-grabbing/brady-bunch type group.

I guess it just goes to show that stupidity and a lack of rational thought can be found in all facets of society. ;)

SC Justice Kagan stated that she had never hunted prior to joining the court. SC Justice Scalia is the one who introduced her to the sport.

She could have just been being sarcastic, too. I doubt she knows what a gun looks like.

Not all conservative presidents get a true conservative judge, and visa versa for librel presidents, they too do not get a true librel judge. I wouldn't read too much into this though.

You never know. I've changed a few libtard chick attitudes by taking them to the range. My experience... they like AR's, but they LOVE 9mm pistols.

EDIT: Just last week. A twenty-something that wants a G19 for her very own. Guns aren't all that scary after you shoot a real one.

That's the hope, Mike. Hell, my wife had never even been around a gun before and didn't like them before I first put one in her hand. Now she has her permit. I think she is about to steal my LCP from me too, lol. That's ok, it will be an excuse to get that j frame like I have been wanting.

Yeah. My libtard girlfriend shoots some, and even has her own AR. She rarely shoots it, so I stole the Geissele trigger out of it yesterday and stuck it in my new 300 BLK. It just don't pay to be a Libtard :).

He was a real jewel, too.

I was listening to an interview with Scalia the other day. He said that they are great friends although they disagree on everything. There is no reason why two people with very different philosophies can't get along. I get along just fine with liberals so long as they aren't venomous a-holes about it.

Scalia was even on Piers Moron last week. Very interesting interview, I really admire the guy. Amazingly, the socialist Brit Twit didn't ask about gun law, I was shocked. He seldom misses an opportunity to flog stiffer gun control.

Gun control is working out so good for the Brits.

Which is less and less frequent, at least in the circles I travel anymore.

That is the interview I listened to. I was on the road and listened on XM. Morgan was baiting him on a couple of issues but I can't remember what they were; I just remember one was early on in the interview and was somewhat badgering. Scalia handled it all well and I thought the interview was very insightful. It would have been even better if the host wasn't a freedom hating limey though.

Arrogant freedom hating limey. Poose needs to go back to England.
