Anyone watch the "Nashville" show?

I have now watched 2 episodes. It seems like a fancy soap opera to me. If it were a little faster pace it might do better. I do like the local scenes.

I've seen it. My wife works on Music Row and recognizes a lot of the folks in the show. The first episode was shot in the real Bluebird Cafe, the rest of the episodes are shot on a soundstage replica down to the pictures on the wall.

This is actually a Big Deal for Nashville. The whole nation gets to see how dynamic Middle Tennessee is, and that we're not all a bunch of hicks. IMO.

There's a ground crew from Los Angeles of about 200 shooting the episodes, and some of them are already talking about moving to Tennessee. If you bump into one, invite them out shooting or something. The freedom might tip the scales and you might be able to change them away from crazy California ways.

We watch it, last summer a film crew was shooting a scene across from us in an empty lot, we found out they were filming a scene from that show

Can't fix most born and bred Kalifornicans. I know one right now that's going back to LA as soon as he can. He's not real fond of freedom and hates rain. Refuses to go to the range.

I find it unwatchable. Like you said 'soap opera' like

You'd be surprised at how many folks associated with Music Row are: Just. Like. That. Every day another drama, you'd think you were IN a soap opera. Sometimes you wonder how the music gets made at all, what with all the drama and intrigue. It's not called "Crazy Town" for nothing.

This, x a zillion. And it's funny to watch some of my buds trash the show, when they've been right in the thick of crap like that.

Truth hurts.

My wife and daughter are into it; not so much for me so far. Little things like in the first show they were in a theater venue practicing, and they decide to step outside for a chat. Next shot they are talking in the middle of the Shelby Street Bridge. I also didn't like how daddy is a corrupt power broker named Lamar. I thought of Lamar Alexander immediately, but I don't think that character portrays Nashville in a good light.

Harkens me back to the Mayor Briley days...

Went to the Rascal Flatts concert tonight at the Bridgestone -- they had the "Nashville" crew there to film the audience cheering and applauding an act for the show. It was a lot of fun! Twenty-thousand extras screaming and yelling. Awesome!

I have enjoyed it so far.

Okay….. Let’s kick around some girly gossip. biggrin.gif

I predict Scarlett will go on tour opening for Rayna, and their tour will kick azz on Juliette.

My uncle is a set builder for this show, said it was a good gig, the wife has watched it but I haven't really paid attention. Ok I "may" have seen the skinny dipping scene but thats it :0

My wife and I were born and bred in Komifornia :) We moved here 3.5 years ago, and never plan on going back.

Didn't say they all needed to be fixed. I know a few, and have met several more that would fit right in around here.
