When I hear people say there is no difference between Obama and Romney, I believe they're really saying I love the commie's "Hope and Change" that is fundamentally transforming America into a communist Amerika. There is nothing even close between Romney and the commie. Romney is no stinking commie.

Sorry, but dislike of Mitt is not endorsement of Obama.

Romney has a horrible gun record. His tax plan is at least questionable since he claims the bottom line for the bulk of the taxpayers will not change. Closing loopholes and raising rates is a wash, if the amount taken is the same, then... you gotta cut spending (instead he plans to increase it, for the military). He has not given us a spending cut plan. His foreign policy does not include cutting off foreign aid to everyone until our debt is cleared off (this is one of the only ways we will ever get ahead economically). He has flip flopped like a fish out of water on more issues than I care to list. Not a commie? If by that you mean he will stop government handouts, you are wrong, he will NOT stop them --- and if they continue, then he is just as bad as a democrat.

Obama is awful, that is also painfully obvious.

They both suck. There will be little difference: we will still be in debt and digging deeper. The rest of the world will still hate us. We will still squander money on pseudowars. Our freedoms will continue to erode. We will continue to educate the rest of the world to compete against us. The border will continue to be open and illegals will continue to be tolerated and even welcomed. In short none of our many serious problems will be fixed and in that sense they are the same.

About the nicest things I can think of to say about Mitt are 1) he is not obama and 2) he may have enough common sense to stimulate the economy a little bit, maybe enough for it to bootstrap. Oh, and 3) no matter what you think, he has agreed with you at some point.

Wrong. They're saying Romney is not conservative enough. They're not saying he's a socialist or communist.

You get there incrementally, like a termite, bit by bit, not in one fell swoop. The perfect candidate is not going to be able to be pushed through, there are no 'messiahs'. The left tried that last time and look what they stuck us with.

I think Romney will fool a lot of you who think he is not conservative enough. He wasn't my favorite, either.

I would have been much happier with a Michelle Bachmann or Herman Cain, but it just didn't happen and

the process gave us a man who governed in just about the most liberal state in the union. He actually

accomplished a few things there, other than the AWB, so drop that. It turned out getting both sides agreeing

on it to an extent. He is not a statist. He is mostly a businessman and successful at that. How many times has

that happened?

It does make him an unknown quantity since he is a rare choice for President. Most choices are career politicians.

Give him some consideration along those lines before you dump on him.

I believe Romney is the most qualified republican nominee since Reagan. I too believe that he is more conservative than most people believe. If it wasn't for his Mormon faith, I believe he would have more support.

And that really shouldn't be a factor, Punisher.

There is a difference between what Romney says now but that is because he is a liar and will say anything he thinks people want to hear.

If you look at his record while he was a governor, he is as liberal as they come.

We did not want Romney 4 years ago and I still do not want him. He has a worse 2nd amendment record than Obama does.

ALL politicians are liars - get used to it. Between the two Romney has a less likely chance of trampling my 2A rights so he gets my vote and should get yours too if you really care about it. He helped pass a AWB in his state because that's what the libtards were screaming for in his state at that time. A politician's first objective is to do whatever they can to stay in office as long as they can. Their second objective is try harder at the first objective.

Funny, ain't it. Romney satisfied the NRA, record included. That has lots of weight with me. I don't understand how anybody can ignore that fact, and babble on with some dillusional crap.

One must consider that the NRA was supportive of Harry Reid, (and still is), they sometimes have a hard time counting votes. This coming from a Benefactor level NRA member, who supports their actions on the most part. I had hard conversation with their lobbyist during our joint efforts on behalf of the Employee Safe Commute Bill last year. Do I still support them with my time and money, absolutely, but, I do not blindly follow their suggestions.

I want Obama beat and out of Washington as bad as anybody, and am working to facilitate that occurrence, but, am tired to death of liberals of any ilk. Our Tennessee Republican Party is rife with them, Alexander, Haslam and Harwell to name a few.

Being a Conservative will get you hinney kicked by the Establishment Republicans in TN, just ask Judd Matheny. Harwell's henchmen are currently planning his demise as speaker Pro Tempore, and once he is out of any vestige of leadership in the House, Conservatism will have lost its last breath in Tennessee.

Nicely said. This is the most truthful post in this thread so far.
