Ideas on a fixed blade knife holder/display case???

Recommended Posts

I am wanting to build something to store my fixed blades since I have been told not to store them in the sheath. I am not really looking for anything to display them but will accept any ideas. I was thinking along the lines of the blocks that most kitchen knife sets come with but I am not sure how to cut out the slots for the blades?

Something simple will suffice so you guys let me know how you store yours. Thanks!

There is several ways to do what you want. If a knife block is preferred it is done by cutting out the area for the blade the laminating them together with blocks in between. Another way is making a false bottom to a drawer and having them in groves cut at an angle so they lay almost flat. This is how i have mine along with my bedside S&W. If you want some help with this PM me and we can talk

no, its just something I came up with one day while trying to secure my pistol where the Grand Babies cant get to it but I can. I made a box out of 3/8'' oak with dividers. put a lid on it with a finger hole that has a latch in side, kinda like a car hood. Socks on top, unless you dig you will never know its there
