That's pretty audacious and extremely un-American. I have yet to see the gov't do anything better than the market. If the gov't did nationalize oil, we'd see $8/gal, but it would all go to welfare programs. Probably have "gas stamps" too.

Last I checked, the founding fathers left england to get away from ridiculous taxation and gov't controlling everything.....

It looked to me like the guy to the right was agreeing with her.

Government, by and large, over the last century has proven very adept at (A) destroying economy by restricting or 'nationalizing' internal trade, and interfering with external trade. It has proven less adept, but still very capable, of dealing with the results of (A) by killing millions of its' own citizens, and hundreds of thousands of others.

Communism There is no other word for this unless you want to be nice and say "socialism". This just shows how far gone we are. I hate going broke because of gas prices but having an idiot like her actually come out and say whats on her mind WOW. I think Im going to start running for senate. Anyone can do it if she can:cool:

That guy is none other then Steve Cohen (D.) Memphis. I don't if he was agreeing with her or agreeing with someone that we couldn't see. If you notice he looks toward her, nods, then he looks to his left, behind Maxine, when he leans back. Also the lady at the far left of the screen is covering her mouth and looking at the same direction that Cohen is as if "I can't believe she just said that".

Cohen was a big part of Tennessee getting the lottery., Just and FYI.
