S&W Shield Problems

Just got a new Shield .40 cal. Took it to the range and the mag would come loose during firing. I thought maybe I was accidently hitting the mag release, but I've never done that with my other handguns. So I had 2 other people fire it and same thing happened with them. The mag didn't fall all the way out, just popped loose enough to stop the ammo from feeding. Anyone else had this happen?

I had a Shield 40 and put about 250 rds through it.....never had that issue.

There was a video on YouTube about this and their conclusion was that it had to do with the extended mag and how tough it was to seat when fully loaded?!?

I tried to replicate that and could NOT? But know that you are not alone on the fact that this has happened. Just YouTube it and/or google it. Also might want to contact S&W??

Either way....good luck

Yeah, I did call S&W today and informed them of the problem. They're going to send me a return form to send it in for repair. They seemed to be familiar with the problem and did not ask a lot of questions. Maybe this will resolve the problem.
