movie review--the strangers

Anyone else seen this flick yet? My wife likes scary movies so we went to it this weekend. It was, I don't know, okay. It was definitely frightening and creepy at times. Kind of disturbing, too. It gives you some interesting things to ponder from a home defense standpoint. Do you bunker down in the house or do you go out and confront the attackers? (The good guys try both in the movie...and they have a shotgun.) Some of it made me roll my eyes. For instance, true to horror movie form, the bad guys moved, appeared and disappeared like ghosts. But if you decide to stay inside and then the bad guys start doing what they did in the movie--breaking the windows, torching the car, cutting off the power (yikes!)--you might decide you need to go on the offensive.

Yeah, I know it's just a movie but I think next time we go to the cabin in Arkansas I'm taking the pistol and the 12 guage.
