Anybody have drag bags for your guns. I saw that Academy Sports has a nice drag bag that would hold two guns and room for mags. It has padded shoulder straps for carry as well as carry handles. It appears well made and only $ 79.99. I saw one guy have one at the gun range carrying two guns. The only other time I've come across a drag bag in stores before, the price was around $130.00.

Here are some makers of drag bags that will hold up.

Eberlestock

TAC OPS

GS II

Triad Tactical

HSRC

They will run around $300 depending on set-up you want or need. I have an older (about 6 years old now) HRSC that was made to my specs, good pouches inside for mags, log book, muzzle protector, scope cover, can pocket, removable shoulder straps, leg strap, molle attach points, etc. It was made for my height with a muzzle flash flap.

Some of the above manufactures make what is more of a range bag simply to carry one or two rifles.

Are we talking about an actual drag bag or just a soft bag with padding? I use a soft padded bag (eagle tac I think) which is relatively inexpensive. A full sized drag bag might be more than what you need, unless you're planning on using it for a place to lay on in the prone and organize your stuff on when shooting. A full sized bag (a good one) is gonna cost a bit of money. If that is the route you go make sure to get a good one. Decent padding, a way to strap it down inside the bag, and a divider so you can carry two weapons in there without them scratching each other. For that price though, I'd invest in a pelican case and cut the foam to accommodate those two firearms; at least you can fly a pelican case.

For an inexpensive bag, I would reccommend the one you're referring to. I have a buddy that works part time at academy and he picked that one up for me. But I've also only had it for about two months. Seems well made enough for just toting my gear to the range, but I'm sure if you plan on using and abusing a great deal it would be better off to buy a higher end bag

Couldn't resist not buying one today. The price of $79.99 is too good for the bag's quality and purpose of carrying two guns as well as accessories. Yesterday, Academy had five drag bags on the rack, and after my purchase they had two left. The brand name is Tactical Performance and made for Academy. I'm sure this bag will hold up well for normal use of carrying two guns and mags. + other stuff. Holds guns up to 47 inches long.
