opinions on the m92 yugoslavian draco ak47 pistol

Just got in the yugo m92 draco ak pistol any opinions on it

It's 762x39mm the wood furniture is nice has the 3 slot hand guard wood grip on the front

The Draco is Romanian and completely different than the M92. The M92 is Yugo based with a shorter barrel, Piston and gas tube, different back end, and has the "Krink" style sights. Two completely different guns. Which one did you get?

If it's the one in the picture you have a Romanian Draco. I love mine. IMO they are more accurate than a full sized due to less barrel flex and recoil pulse. When I added the TWS top cover rail it gave me a 4" longer sight radius than a 16" barrel AR.

Has anyone ever had experience staining or polystaining the wood furniture on an Ak?

Oh btw this pistol is sweet I drooled over the 75 rnd drum today its complete overkill and unnecessary but I liked it.

The muzzle device easily comes off to show a threaded barrel took a lil elbow grease it came off and goes back on guess I could find a way better muzzle break for it.

This thing is gonna undergo a rigorous ammo test this weekend.

From my opinion from a workmanship pov

This Ak 47 is way better built than any wasr 10 or Romanian Ak I have held its got a similar build of a dragonov

Apparently the gun is newly built not a wasr style remanufactured Ak

The m92 pap is Serbian and built at the zastava factory its solid not made of sheet metal.

saiga Ak47 is the only Ak I have held that I feel was better quality over this pistol I got.

For the $ its a no brainer and heard the m92 is damn hard to find now

Any opinions on what to do on finishing the wood to protect it? Was thinking a Russian red stain and a few coats of poly ...

Any advice on a upgraded pistol grip ?

Try a rag and some linseed oil on that wood if it's fresh and unfinished. Any rough edges on the wood

hit with fine sandpaper and the the linseed oil.

Stupid me. I just realized you are around Clarksville, too. I've been wanting to shoot a Draco. I have a

AMD 65 and my son has a Saiga 7.62. I might talk you out of that if I see it
