One of my AKs is finally shot out. I want to put a new barrel on it. Possibly thinking of turning it into a Krink. I am not wanting to send it out to Rifle Dynamics or any other shop thats going to take more than a year to get the work done on it. (Not trying to be rude but I want this to be done sooner rather than later.) I understand that if I SBR it it will take nearly 6 months to get my paperwork back. None the less if I decide to just replace the barrel I would like to just get it done. Any suggestions of someone that is somewhat local to Nashville that can do this sooner rather than later? Any help is appreciated. And yes I did search.

There aren't any in Nashville. However, Troy at In Range is the go to guy for Krink's. He's quick on turnaround time and very fair on prices. Great guy. He's done some non typical work for me and I've been very pleased.

Great question but I bought it used years ago and have put near 15 cases through it. No joke.

You could do it yourself. Its not all that hard, especially if you have a press.

You could also try WaffenWerks in Knoxville. They are sometimes really busy, then times are lean and will take work. Try them and see.
