Those cable looking items look like self locking snare traps. They are used primarily for trapping coyotes and other small game/predators.

Travis,

I'm glad you like the cuff links. I put a note in with your present only to find that I left it in the shop when I went to mail it.

The real gift was the cuff links. I turned them down from some spent .308 brass and thought they would make a unique gift. The rest of the stuff got thrown in as I was looking for a box. I was originally going to mill down a wooden box, but couldn't find a hinge I thought would work. So, I put them in a survival tin.

After putting them in the tin, I thought that it would be in bad form to send a survival tin with nothing to put in it. Hence the matches and the compasses. As I was digging through my spare kit stuff, I found the locking cable snares and decided to throw those in. You don't see many bug out bags with snares, but I find them useful.

I don't know if you have the occasion to dress up much, but even if its just for church any now and then, the cuff links are fun.

Hope you get some use out of them...

^^^So are we revealing who are giftees are now or was that just clarification on the snare question?

Yeah sure why not, Christmas has passed - Will H - glad you liked the DT ammo, it took a while of digging through your old posts trying to find something, and I was just hoping you didn't trade the 9mm for something else between the time it was sent and your last post about carrying a 9

Yeah, thanks man.  It was exactly what I was looking for.  I traded off my Beretta 92 for a Ruger GP100, but I still have my 9mm Storm Subcompact for daily carry.  I ended up giving 20 rounds to my dad who now carries them in his P95, so you supplied carry ammo for two.  Thanks again.

Well in that case... I am soooo glad that Robtattoo likes his mini cannon. Rob, you are a hard guy to shop for but seeing that you were into black powder it seemed somehow fitting. Figured the mora was a safe second present as I'd be hard pressed to find a TGOer who couldn't put one of those to good use. Glad you enjoy them, tell your wife I'm sorry, don't want to be on anyone's hit list...

Wish I could afford to buy everyone some, their stuff performs great.  We carry their .45 and .357s after testing it out a few months back. It's HOT, with zero flash, the service is awesome and every round they sell is hand loaded. If I ever have to depend on a round for my life, I want it to be one from this company.

Just checked his status to see when he was last online & he's been banned. SO...... whoever was supposed to get their gift from Rebeldrummer, if it hasn't arrived, that's probably your reason.

Rebeldrummer's giftee has been taken care of.

My giftee was c.a. willard. He received some gunsmithing and guncare tools. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for your service to our country!

Mine was JTMaze.  Glad you liked the reloading supplies!  Since I've never gotten into reloading I was trying to figure out what would be good and I thought you could always use extras of those if you already had them.

Happy New Years!

Oh yes. They fit well. I am actually just getting into reloading myself and my daughters got me a tumbler for Christmas and they went great. Thanks a lot.

Well to try and bring some cheer back to the thread I got my gift Wednesday and hadn't had a chance to get a pic up. I got some stormproof matches 2 small campuses a pair of 308 cuff links and 2 of something I am not sure what they are. I think they are snares but can't figure it out. If someone can help me out that would be great and sorry to ruin by having to ask.
These links are awesome by the way. I showed my wife and she said I had to go buy a 308 if I didn't have one already. Maybe I can wear the links while I go shop for a new 308 rifle.
As for people slacking on gifts I really thought the members here wouldn't do something like that. I had trouble staying in budget and seemed there were several that went over. I don't know If this is something that David can or would handle but I don't want to buy something from them knowing they did someone wrong with this. Maybe negative feedback in I trader or something to let everyone know.
I am in for doing it again when ever we do it.

Those cuff links are bad a**!!

I'll be up for doing this next year. Was too late on the draw last time. So sign me up.

At least the first one was a learning experience, if the timetable was pushed up maybe more time to get stuff and stuff shipped out on time.

Never got mine, either.  Unless I just confused it with something I bought in the middle of the night and didn't remember.
