TNGunowners Secret Santa!

Starting this early to give myself time to go through folks that would like to participate. This has been done on several forums I frequent, but to my knowledge it hasnt been done here.

Basically, anyone who ops into secret santa will be pooled into a the group of folks who want to do it and assigned randomly to purchase a gift for another forum-goer. I'll set the monitary cap at lets say... $25. Once a reasonable time has passed I will ask that the thread be closed and randomly assign people to give gifts to their follow TGO members. Be creative! It doesnt have to be a box of ammo, or something along those lines. It could be anything! I will not disclose the username of the folks involved, I'll only provide address's to send the gift to. If you want to include your forum name with your gift, you're more than welcome to.

I'll be compiling a list of everyone that wants to do this, and will get with you for your information. All I want in this thread is a simple "I'm in" and I'll get with you once the thread closes.

I'll keep this going through Nov. 9th. So lets do this!

Edit: Since I'm the one handling it, I'll probably opt-out of sending a gift myself since it wouldnt be so secret for me if I'm the one picking my partner. However if there is an odd-number of folks I'll pick up the odd man out. I hope they like geeky stuff!

Will we know who are "partner" is ahead of time? The reason I ask is I would like to research posts to find out what they like or are needing. I would hate to give something Glock related to someone who despises Glocks.

Either way I am in.

I'm in.

Likes: chunks of exoctic hard wood for knife handles, wood working hand tools, pocket knives, .35 rem and .22 ammo. Also chunks of steel for blacksmithing work is always good.

I am in. Participants should edit their profile to let people know their interests, favorite calibers, hobbies, etc... That would help us all, agreed?

Oh, I'm playing. Count me in.

I DO concur with Dolomite though. We need to know who we are shopping for. I mean, can you imagine what a sad joke it'd be, someone buying a box of small rifle primers for David?

It wouldnt be secret santa if everyone knows who they are buying for. However, I along with the mailing address I'll ask for a few things that person would be interested in, and what they absolutely cannot use - to give the people an idea.

The secret santa deals I've seen in the past is a different format in that the purchaser knows who they are buying for but the recipient doesn't know who gave it to them. That's the only way it makes sense IMO.

The secret is only one waym and the Santa will know who the recipient is. So, everyone in the game can name a few NOs in their posts that the Santa can reference :)
