Micro Desert Eagle at the range

Finally got to the range today to try out the new Micro Desert Eagle. Its a stout little gun with a bit of kick but not unmanageable. Ran 50 rounds of Winchester fmj without any issues at all. Put another 12 rounds of Remington Golden Saber 102gr jhp and again, not a single problem. Finished the set off with a box of 50 Federal fmj. So all in all, 100 rounds of fmj and 12 defense rounds with out so much as a hiccup. Did I mention it was balls on accurate too? Only problem was the trigger guard kept bumping my finger when the gun jumped. I think this is due to the thin grips and my big hands. I will see if I can find a better set of grips to fit my hand. But then again, its not a range gun, its a deep carry pistol. It fits in the front pocket of every pair of jeans and shorts I own. And after today I can expect it to be reliable if I need it. Nice little compact gun if I do say so myself.

The Micro, like all pocket guns, was not intended to be used as a range gun. The Micro is made for up close and personal situations, and if you ever find yourself in one of those situations, the trigger guard bumping into your finger is the last thing you'll notice.

I agree. The Micro is a great looking gun and super small compared to most .380's. I'm not that worried about the trigger guard. The Micro for me is an "I can't possibly conceal anything bigger than this in what I'm wearing" gun. And for that purpose it works very well.

I only knew the term "Desert Eagle" in regard to the .50 caliber pistol. When I saw "Micro Desert Eagle," I thought, "how the hell can you fire that round in a compact size pistol?" Whew. ;)

Now that would be a kick to shoot. And a huge suprise for the BG on the business end.
