Mosin M44 "Bring Home"

I know a lack of import marks increases value, but how much on these?

I am trying to work out a deal on a M44 that is said to have been brought home by a soldier and shows no import marks.

Percentage-wise, what does that do to the value of this gun?

Depends on what it exactly is. Bringback from Vietnam or Korea? Russian M44 or Chinese T53? Does it have bringback papers with it? What condition?

Collectors will pay more for something without import marks and even more for something with provenance.

I'll have to answer these quesitons when I "lay hands" on it. Pictures aren't that great. I know there are no papers and the story is sketchy, so I guess all I have is "no import marks". When I got a peek at it the first time, it looked to be in very good condition.

I'll try to get it for what I would pay for an import, then the rest is gravy, I guess.

Thanks, guys!
