Let's Play A Guessing Game?

Recommended Posts

The following is a brief quote from something seldom taught in our public schools anymore.

It doesn't contain prevention of STD'S, feel good liberal ideology, birth control, health, feminism of our young men, or acceptance of other alternative life styles. I invite you to guess who wrote the following.

"But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future Security".

Hint: It's not Roseanne Barr, George Clooney, George Soros, Rosy O'Donnell, CNN, Jane Fonda or the Democrats.

At what point will the American population wake up and realize the control our elected government exercises over our daily lives? And the diminished ability through excessive taxation for the average working Joe to provide for his family.

With all the domestic problems we face here as a nation; our infrastructure has crumbled, natural disasters, our military has become ill equipped, our nations Veterans needing vital assistance, on and on and on...

We spend hundreds and hundreds of billions of fiat dollars on national destruction programs like; welfare, aid to foreign countries hostile to U.S., aid to foreign countries devastated by disaster, aid to foreign countries to just allow us a presence, how Dragonflies can fly, how worms mate, pork barrel spending, corporate welfare, Wall Street bailouts, etc. etc. on and on...

IMHO. We as American citizens have become the "subjects" of people control from out of touch politicians legislating us out of our house, home, heritage and generations to come.

God save the Queen...

Tip O'Neill coined the phrase, "All politics are local."

And it's mostly true, as most folks vote based on the perceived benefit to their own short term benefit, and predominately financial benefit. Often based on a single and overall relatively insignificant issue. Often based on little more than likeability, or religion, or race, or sex.

Concepts of constitutionality, freedom, individualism, and even the commonweal for future generations just aren't significant issues for the mainstream voter population. And remember, less than 60% of voting age population even votes at all in presidential elections. And that's probably a good thing.

We'd be so much better off if we only voted for House of Representatives, and held their feet to the fire for everything.

TJ, my hero. It is from a little note to the king that changed the world.

You Cardcutter are the winner! Thank you.

A very large segment of our population has never even read the "Declaration of Independence" or our very own "Constitution"? Much less understands the meaning and sacrifices in life and limb we have endured to maintain our freedoms?

To this day I'm in awe at the wisdom of our founding fathers and what they experienced and sacrificed. I'm proud of the heritage they bequeathed to me and don't want to see it squandered by socialist politicians and liberal anti-Americans.
