New riding mower suggestions

Do a good check---I have been in the repair business for many years. About 90% of all the mowers you buy today are all made in the same factory ( American Yard Products) They are made to the individual company specs. A lot of the parts will interchange if you know what to look for. Spend a little more money and get a name brand that has it`s own factory.

I agree , might be better deal, but the wife is determined to buy new. She "doesn't want someone else's problems", never mind the one we have is 10-12 years old and we have had it 7 of those years, and it was bought used. It is like arguing with a politician.

My parents have a Troy-Bilt Bronco? from Lowes and it has done well. If you can, spend the extra $$ and get the automatic transmission--they are well worth it.

I purchased a Cub Cadet last summer L1046 ( I think) with the hydrostatic something transmission....anyways, it has been great so far. Just hit the 20 hour mark on the timer and no issues at all. It cut my time almost in half and rides like a dream. I think the sticker was $1649 at Home Depot I would highly recommend one to anyone in the market for a new rider.
