New guy here

Hey guys I am new here refered here by REEF on Tennesspeed, I just got me a .40 cal S&W from my wife and kids, Havent shot it yet but I plan to this weekend if I get to feeling better, I have owned a Bersa .380 in the past and gave it to my mom, Since I got this one now, Going to the CCP class soon, I dont know to much about guns but plan to learn some info from you guys,Also looking for something small for my wife to carry in her purse. you can DEFINITELY learn all you want to about firearms on this forum..

Greetings! Nice pistol there. Get very familiar with the mechanics of it before you do your carry permit class. Another suggestion would be to take a NRA Basic Pistol class if you are relatively new to running handguns. It covers all the fundimentals thoroughly. The Carry Permit class offers info. regarding some safety and a whole lot of when you can and when you can't carry and use your pistol but pays almost no attention to making you a better shooter which, if you are going to carry you really should work at being a better shooter IMHO.
