My brother-in-law lives in Morristown and is looking for recommendations regarding HCP instructors in the area. PM if necessary. Also, PM about anyone he should avoid.

Thanks!

I live in Morristown but after some investigation decided my best option was to make the drive to a class held at the Knox County Sheriff's range. This was a few years ago and I no longer have the contact information for the instructor but the class was excellent. I get the impression some places just go through the motion of holding the class. This was the real deal. Maybe someone else with current information or contact info can weigh in. I would guess someone at the Knox Sheriff's Department would be able to help.

I took this one.. was very happy with it.. its geared towards woman but there are also men there..and very reasonable.. Its actualy free for the class.. but to assure a seat you donate like 38 dollars.. thats what I did.. but most people went there free I think.. you do have to pay for the range fees tho.. I think those where 15 bucks

Walters State, M&M firearms in Whitesburg and a couple gun stores here recommend a guy in Jefferson City. Don't know anything about them though (would have to check and make sure all 3 still do classes). When I took mine everybody told me to go to Sevier indoor range. I thought it was a good class.

Had a chance to make a call or two this morning.

M&M has a class on Oct 13th- $80 includes lunch, gun & ammo. Don't know anything about their class but I like the shop. I bought an M&P 9 there Saturday.

Sevier Indoor Range has a class each Sat- $65 with a free range visit if you book ahead. I can definitely recommend the class here.

Walters State- $70 but I didn't get ahold of anyone to find out more info. Phone number listed for class is 423-312-4646

The place in Jefferson City I haven't got a phone number for. Your BIL might try calling a couple local shops to find out.
