Am I the only person in America annoyed by the "pink ribbon" marketing ploy?

I lost my first wife to melanoma cancer when she was just 37 years old. My current wife was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago this month. I can tell you from first hand experience when it's you or someone you love, it doesn't matter what type of cancer it is, it ain't a good thing to have to deal with. Trust me it changes r your perspective on a lot of things. Just my $.02.

If you have ever watched a loved one die of cancer, any cancer, then pink wouldn't bother you.

Exactly.

. Some people are just less compassionate or think its a good cause ( be it breast or any other cancer )Until it affetcs them..I lost people to cancer.. one of the worst diseases to deal with

My father died of lung cancer. I have a cousin with pancreatic cancer.

This always happens. I'm sorry for having a lack of compassion. I guess I can always raise someone's hackles,

unintentionally.

Right, but what do people have more love for? Three inches up a mans butt or boobies?

Just saying.

The answer might depend on where the question is asked- TN answers probably differ from CA.

the question in my mind is how much do the pat adm.

That is my real concern, especially with these "mega" charities. How much of the money is eaten away in administrative costs and executive compensation?

Look at the Wounded Warrior Project... I think we found out only 40 % goes to the men and woman.. ..I wonder how much Gary Sinise sucks up of it

Exactly my point. I have probably spent $2k in airports over the last few years buying coffee, meals and beers for those in uniform. Wounded Warrior just doesn't put enough money into the end product for me to contribute.
