I was pointing out that the value of the passes and rentals less the membership price is $205. That averaged out over the year means you would have to go shoot 10.25 times to 'break even'. Anything more than 10.25 times and you would be shooting 'for free.'

Agreed. Visiting anything over one time a month on average and the membership is the better deal.

Sweet! But $20.00 per hour range fees? Is that normal?

It's a bit high IMO. Guns & Leather is $10 for their stationary target range, $15 for turning targets.

I would probably spend more than that in gas driving my truck to get to G&L though.

ETA: Just now saw Brian's post that it is unlimited time, that makes it much more reasonable.

Stopped by today and the place looked pretty good inside, it's a nice layout. One of the employees came and asked if he could help with anything and I told him I was just checking out the place. Even though he knew I wasn't buying he still came back a few minutes later to check on me. If they treat everyone like that, they'll definitely be getting all of my local business.

So i guess the $30 an hour that shooters depot in Chattanooga charges isnt very reasonable

that is because they are expensive on everything and the reason i dont buy anything there anymore aside from the fact that the older co owner is complete jackassery douche

Stopped by earlier this evening and was greeted within walking ten feet into the door. They didn't have what I was looking for but were very helpful and polite and gave me a good time frame on when it would be in. Looked around a little and was pretty impressed by their startup inventory, I think once they get going they will be a one stop shop for me.

Pricing was reasonable, some things can be found for the same or slightly cheaper elsewhere but on the other hand some things had better pricing than I had seen locally. SR1911 for under $670, Mossberg MVP for under $500. I will be definitely shopping there in the future.

Went and shot there today, employees were very courteous again. Ammo was almost at Wal-Mart pricing so that was good and also learned an important lesson.. Drinking an energy drink with 240mg of caffeine before doing any precision shooting makes it pretty much impossible.

Range was ok, they're all the same to me, press a button or flip a switch and the target goes forward and backwards. Did have good ventilation and the acoustics were good.

I was there on Sunday. Gotta say I was extremely glad there was bulletproof glass between me and the couple to my left. :ugh:

Ditto. Did that except a big coffee before shooting 400 yard rifle one time. Big mistake!

Same when I was there looking on Friday, some pistol "grand master" was practicing reloads with partially filled mags and speed shooting. Gun was going every which unsafe way was possible. Wanted to go in there and take the guy's ammunition from him myself.

They should install tasers in the ceiling of the lanes and have someone with their finger on the button so when someone does something stupid, they get zapped.

What time Friday? I was there fairly early in the afternoon shooting with my wife and daughter. Never saw anyone doing anything unsafe. I did practice a few double-taps at the very end of my ammo supply but my shots all landed within 2" of each other, center of mass, so I'm pretty sure I'm not the grand master you're speaking of.

It was some time between10am-noon, not sure exactly. Don't think it would be a regular on here, this guy would've been ostracized on this site because it was evident from 20 feet away he did not need to own a firearm.

I think everyone ought to own a gun... I just think some folks really need some remedial training in how to use one before they go shooting them around other people. :)

Definitely. Too bad most people will never get any training.
