Connecticut man kills masked teenager, finds out it's his son

Speechless ... According to the report, his son actually tried to attack him prior to the shooting.

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Connecticut police say a man has fatally shot a masked teenager in self-defense outside his neighbor's house during what appeared to be an attempted burglary and then discovered it was his son.

I think this story hits me harder right now than it would have in the past. I've only been a dad for 4 months, but knowing that I not only have to bury my son, but that I'm the one that has caused him to be buried would cripple me emotionally for a LONG time!

Heard about this a while ago and this is one of the ####tiest situations that exist. If we all had one rewind button in life, I'd gladly give the guy mine

<edit> I retract that offer after actually reading the story, it was an adopted kid that supposedly had some kind of weapon trying to break into a house. Then he turned on the guy... Sad story, but doesn't sound like it was a prank like what was being let on in the beginning.
