Connecticut man kills masked teenager, finds out it's his son

Speechless ... According to the report, his son actually tried to attack him prior to the shooting.

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Connecticut police say a man has fatally shot a masked teenager in self-defense outside his neighbor's house during what appeared to be an attempted burglary and then discovered it was his son.

My neighbor actually shot his son in law and daughter, when they were attempting to rob his house one night. It didn't kill them, but made him pretty upset. Prayers for the father, I'm sure he's beside himself.

I was going for double entendre. But it is a tragic situation, and I certainly feel for the family.

I think this story hits me harder right now than it would have in the past. I've only been a dad for 4 months, but knowing that I not only have to bury my son, but that I'm the one that has caused him to be buried would cripple me emotionally for a LONG time!

Heard about this a while ago and this is one of the ####tiest situations that exist. If we all had one rewind button in life, I'd gladly give the guy mine

<edit> I retract that offer after actually reading the story, it was an adopted kid that supposedly had some kind of weapon trying to break into a house. Then he turned on the guy... Sad story, but doesn't sound like it was a prank like what was being let on in the beginning.
