Just thought it would be cool to share some stories of moments when you "stumbled" upon some crazy deal....or a rare gun....or something along those lines.

I had one of those moments yesterday and it made me think of starting this thread.

Ill start it off....

I had just left my chiropractor and ran into a really nice older gentleman. He was cutting jokes so I threw one in there and then we struck up a conversation. One thing led to another and we were discussing firearms. Come to find out we are both S&W guys. He asks what I carry and I tell him the line up, one of which being the M&P Shield 40. He tells me that he has one in 9mm just sitting in his safe. Never been out of the box/...he then offers to let me buy it! Says he has never shot it and that he does not need it. So....i took him up on his offer and am meeting him tonight!! Seeing as how these guns are so hard to find, I did not want to pass it up!!!!!

I really like it when lady luck comes and visits me.....she can be awfully kind

I think the only "deal" I've gotten on a firearm was my GP100.

A buddy of mine needed some cash a few years so I helped him out. Fast forward to a year later and he's in a bind AGAIN. now since he hadn't yet paid back the original loan I was a bit reluctant to help, but he's my buddy so I said we'd work something out.

I get to his place with $300. and he let's me know about this gun he had bought years ago and never fired just kind of bought it and forgot it. So he asks me if I'd be interested buying it outright instead of making a loan so we check it out, brand new 4 year old GP100.

I said dine deal and that was the end of that.

Same friend found a desert eagle in a box his friend left in his garage about 10 years ago and offered it up for $250. Really wish I had jumped on that one. Just too many unknowns about it though.
