Lowered the sight on a 22/45

A few months ago I bought the railed and threaded MKIII 22/45. I had a Docter sight that I put on it with a cheap off brand mount but was never happy with it. It was much too high. Tonight I decided to fix it and mount the sight directly to the rail.

I milled the top portion off the rail and drilled and tapped 2 mounting holes directly in the rail. I effectively lowered the sight by about half an inch. Makes it feel much better and I no longer regret not getting the iron sight model.

I "can" only think of one thing that would make that pistol look even cooler. Sweet pistol and optic setup.

Glad to see you have a VQ trigger installed. Did you put in the VQ sear also? Remove the mag disconnect? Nice mounting job.

It has the full MKII kit in it with the MKII trigger bushing. Essentially a MKII with chamber indicator. I installed the same kit in my MKIII Hunter.

The "can" is on the way.
