I like the more traditional M-16 look. Looks like an A2 upper with the old school triangle hand guards. Gives me some nostalgia. Sweet weapon!

It has the A1 upper with windage adjust only. Has 1 in 7 twist. Think it will be a nice shooter for the money.

Nice one!!!!! Don't see many "long" builds. Most i've seen are "shorties" but yours looks great. Hats off to you sir. I don't have the knowledge or patients to build so I'm in the works to buying one now.

Put a fixed stock on it and it's my 13 yr old son's dream rifle. First time he shot my AR he asked me to take the Eotech off so he could see the "iron" sights better. Sweet build:)

That is the one of the great things about the AR platform, an almost unendless number of caliber and configuration options it is really easy to customize a rifle to suit various personal tastes & professional tasks.

But then again I am just as happy shooting an old 20" standard service rifle A1 as I am shooting the "latest and greatest Mall-Ninja's wet dream" rifle, so I suppose that I just like stuff that goes "bang!"...

I am trying to get the A1 stock to go along and make it total A1. That is what i shot in the military. Later iwould like to get a short rifle. But will have to wait on funds again. I have not had a chance to shoot it and tune it in yet. I have shot about 15 rounds just to make sure everything cycled properly. No problems yet. Soon as i get to run some rounds down stream i will give a range report.

In that case you need to score an A1 barrel while you're at it. I did an XM177 build a while back and have everything but the proper barrel (mine is a 16 inch replica) since I would have to go through the ATF pain.
