  1. 1. If the law allowed you to protect your personal property (or someone else's) with deadly force, would you?

I misunderstood nothing. I've just given up explaining simple concepts that should be self evident if one reads and understands context.

The OP said IF the law allowed, I thought you said (whether you did or not) that he said given it wasn't allowed. One of us misunderstood. Nobody here is stupid, so no need to act like someone is. Which is usually casts the actor in a bad light.

No I didn't. It is a very simple concept. You quoted a response I made to another individual and somehow took it to mean something different. I'm going to stop caring about whether or not you can understand that. I know exactly what I meant, and there is nothing conflicting there unless you cherry pick quotes and take them out of the context they were originally used in.

We ALL understood the question; we all simply don't have the same opinion about the issue...TMF was simply being sarcastic at my expense - he and I have vastly different answers to the question but that's far as it goes.

Good because you didn't understand what I wrote above. I point blank stated what I thought you said, then clarified that this is what I thought whether or not you said it. I didn't make disparaging comments till you did. I didn't cherry pick quotes period. Based on what Robert just said, I now think I missed your sarcasm, and took it literally.

So if you had simply explained that instead of assuming I was an idiot, this would've been over alot sooner. I am not an idiot, but I do make copious quantities of mistakes on teh intarwebz since I am a geek, and thus tend to take things literally as written etc.

Sorry. I won't post anymore off-topic.

Man, that has very little to do with it. Keep on arguing, that part is okay, just make sure what you're arguing

about is right.

Look, I stated how I would act to the best of my ability, and within the limits of the law, as conditions. That's

why I kept saying read that again. I can't put anything else out there as absolute, or it would make me the

fool. I'd rather not fight if I didn't have to, but if someone takes something of mine, or is causing mischief

that could end up putting someone close to me in a threatening situation, you're damned right I'll do something

about it, according to my abilities.

I was replying to Mike's comment and we were, in my opinion as well, getting off topic.

As to the rest, you keep saying I need to re-read the post. Did you ever re-read mine with an eye to MAYBE, just MAYBE it wasn't me? Not saying it wasn't, just asking did you ever consider the possibility that I didn't make myself clear and there was a misunderstanding?

We've both posted our feeling on the OP. The rest is just a infraction waiting to happen. So let's just drop it, and move on. :)
