Is there any interview with an ATF agent, in person or by phone, before you receive a C&R? Or is it just sent once it is approved. Thanks for any info.

No interviews, nada. Just fill out the paperwork, send one copy to your CLEO and one to the ATF, and in a few weeks you'll have your FFL in hand. Very easy.

That's what i thought, but I sent in my paperwork the first of April and the check was cashed on April 10th. But I still have not heard anything. Then when I was doing some research on a way to check up on the app., I noticed the phone number to the Atlanta office was sure alot like this number that has been calling recently, just thought it was a telemarketer, so I have not answered. Of course they have not called in the last couple of days, and the wife erased all of the caller id's yesterday ( she has issues with the cid). So I guess I just need to be patient.

Yeah they cash the check as soon as they get it. If you start to get worried, call the local ATF office and they can direct you from there.

So I just called the ATF. I have had a C&R for 5 weeks now. Problem is they sent it to the wrong city. They had my address right, but had 37122 as the zip instead of 37172. So it had been sent to Mt. Juliet. The lady was very nice about it and fixed it and issued me a new one to be sent to the correct address.

All you have to do is apply mail it in with payment and wait.

no interview or anything like that.
