I found a nice little Sig in SC that I want but I need a good FFL in middle TN. I find very variant prices for the very same service.

D&T Arms (board sponsor) has the best price and are good to deal with. If you don't want to drive to Rivergate, I've had good luck with the Saddle Shop in Triune.

Huge +1 for D&T. Well worth the drive and they'll take care of you.

Try and buy something while your there, I can't see how they make anything charging $15.

D&T... They did the transfer on my AR50-A1 50BMG. Excellent folks to do business with! :-)

I use the Saddle Shop in Triune a lot and have never had any issues.

I've used Mike for a while now. He's always good for a laugh. Last transfer he did for me was a Firestorm 22. He had never seen one before and I had a hard time getting it away from him.

Another vote for D&T. Then you can drive 10 min up the road to G&L Hendersonville for some quality time getting to know one another.

D&T

The Reloaders Bench

Guns and Leather, either location

I've had nothing but honest, fair transactions at any of the above

D&T Arms ...

30-35 minutes from where you are. Nice guys and $15 dollar transfers :)

To compare apples to apples, the $15 transfer does not include the $10 background check, so a true price is $25. Still the best price I know of in Middle TN, but only $5 cheaper than the Saddle Shop which is a lot closer to Brentwood. I usually use the Saddle Shop but still occasionally do business with D&T because I believe in supporting our sponsors.

I use Toliver's in Manachester for $20 transfers which includes $10 state fee. Small towns are sometimes good too!

I just used a place in Murfreesboro out of convenience and the transfer was $45 plus $10 BG check..total..$55! :( I'm not going to mention the name but they are consistantly more expensive than anyone else in the area including Franklin Gun where I bought my last Gun. Saddle shop for me from now on because it's the next closest.

Don't forget about Guns for America. Tom is located just off 65 and Armory Drive, just south of downtown Nashville. $25 cash transfers, $30 when paying with plastic.

No need to mention the name. Those of us here in Murfreesboro know exactly of whom you speak. You'd think that they make enough off of their indoor range fees and their pricey CCW classes, but whatever. It pays to shop around a bit-- there are definitely cheaper places in Rutherford County.

I live on the TN/AL state line and buy most of my stuff from Larry's Pistol & Pawn in Huntsville, AL. Ashby Hardware in Fayetteville, TN is an FFL and does the transfer for $11.00. Isn't that what TBI charges an FFL to do the background check?

I've know Bob Ashby most of my life - great guy.

My son-in-law has used Terry Walden (Walden Ridge Shooting Range) in Manchester, exit 105 off I-24 a few times and good service. Don't know charges but understand reasonable.

Old but good range for shooting, $5.00 perperson.

Carmack Pawn & Sales for no hassle $25 transfers in Columbia. They are on Bud's FFL list.
