Hunting WMA

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I've always hunted dove on private property but I'm thinking about taking a weekday afternoon to hunt the WMA over at Percy Priest. The TWRA website makes it sound like you just drive up, get out and start hunting. I know I need the WMA small game license (in addition to the usual license and migratory bird stamp), but is there anything else I need to know before going? Any special etiquette that regulars on the field follow?

Has anyone here hunted that WMA? Any advice you all could give would be appreciated.

Matt

Call the field rep for the WMA you plan to hunt. They are a wealth of information and usually more than happy to talk shop with you. Their number can usually be found in the hunt regulation, or try online by looking for the page for that particular WMA. Semper Fi,

Joe
