How's that Arab Spring working out?

I remember some who thought "Arab Spring" might have been a good thing.

Remember one of the groups that the Democrats embraced at this year's

convention? Yep, Islam.

Put the ingredients in and stir this one up. :puke:

"There is no god but Allah, Mohammad is Allah's messenger. We will sacrifice ourselves for you, Allah's messenger," they chanted, with many waving religious flags.

Yeh, that loving and kind bunch.

I like we do not have troops in there, trying to "encourage" (force) Democracy. Worked so well in other Islamic nations.

Let them fight among themselves. Makes us less of a target. Besides, we spend way, way, way, too much $ on attempting to buy influence and friends there. Just think how much we could cut from the budget, if we didnt spend so much on foreign countries.

Bring the troops home, let these idiots kill eachother. Smedley Butler was right; "....War is a Racket....". It's a bit dated, but i recommend that everyone who wonders what is goin on in the middle east (...or anywhere else we have a "strategic interest" [...what ever that is....]...) needs to read Butler's book. "War is a Racket". He wuz right.

It took me a long time to come to this conclusion; but Butler was right.

This has been happening since we stopped supporting the Shah in Iran back in the late 70's. Our leaders are often dumbasses. A dictator may not be the most ideal type of government, but there are places in the world populated by enough violent people that make dictatorial rule the only viable type. In those cases, it's quite often in our national interests to let them stay in power. Instead, we condemn them and help foment their overturn and then what do we get? Chaos, and then radical Islamists. And that AIN'T working out so well for us.

We gonna have problems until the PC crowd wakes up and realizes the the so-called radical nut cases are actually mainstream in a very large part of the world. Entire cultures have declared jihad on us and we call them a few radicals outside the norm. Our allies that we embraced and trained to work with us are now shooting our soldiers in the back and we blame the occasional loon.

The peaceful ones are the handful of radicals.

This just in about the killing of our envoy today:

apparently it was over a movie someone in the states made. As usual, the rest of the world wants to use the UN or whatever to infringe upon our freedoms, this time freedom of speech. Check out this quote...

"We ask the American government to take a firm position toward this film's producers within the framework of international charters that criminalise acts that stir strife on the basis of race, colour or religion."

The PC crowd is usually close by in a lot of problems. Good points Jonnin.
