Taxidermist for bobcat ???

Recommended Posts

Posted

I still have a bobcat in my freezer that I got back during the season. He has been well insulated, so I hope it is still in good shape. Time goes by so fast!

Who does good work in TN on bobcats? I know they can be tricky, and I have seen some freaky (weird) looking bobcat mounts. I don't mind traveling some distance to get to a good taxidermist (even GA or KY). I just want someone that does good work on them and has a portfolio of bobcats to look at.

Who do ya recommend?

Thanks.

I used PC Taxidermy in Old Hickory. He did a decent job but Eric is not reliable. I could not in good conscience recommend him. Hopefully some of the other guys on here can give you a good recommendation.

Nice cat, KahrMan.

I am having a hard time finding someone to use for my cat. That's why it's still in the freezer, I guess.

Anyone ever use Lonewolf Taxidermy?

Also, Wilderness Taxidermy just over the mountain in NC seems to have a lot of experience with cats. Their pricey, but I'll give them a call tomorrow. http://www.wildernesstaxidermy.com/

Hi there! I am a taxidermist in Portland, TN. Feel free to visit my website at www.mountsofmemoriestaxidermy.com for sample photos of my work. I am professionally trained and can help you with any questions regarding your bobcat. Keeping him wrapped well and frozen is key to preserving the freshness of the cape for any animal... especially bobcats. Thanks!

Thanks bvarnell, I'll give them a call. Did you have a cat done there or other animal?

Once again I'm late to the dance.

I had a black coyote mounted by Crane's. Excellent work.

He does a fair amount of work for people in the Chattanooga area. Only about 75 miles from me.

He also does a lot of work from safari people. When I went to his shop, he had a full body male lion, a warthog and a huge croc waiting to be picked up.

I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for those three. :puke:
