So after wearing out my last dress boots, I found one hell of a good deal on these. I'm getting my old lucchese ostrich boots resoled to be my new riding/rodeo boots, and I found these at Elliots boots. They were orginally $205, but they had a tag that said $150. Then the lady said they may be more than that. Turns out they were 50% orginal price. Then the we were talking to the lady at the register and I mentioned being in Cali. And she found out I was military so she gave me 10% off the orginal price. So I ended up paying $80 for $205 set of Rocky boots. If your looking for new boots, Elliott's boots on western ave is great place with good prices.

I've been a square toe guy for the last 6-8 years. They fit my foot better, and even my lucchese that'll be my riding boots are square toed. They are leather soled so I'm not to scared of being hung up. The only time I worry about stirrup hangups is during ranch saddle bronc, but so far Ive never had a hang that would have been prevented by a pointed toe. Is there another reason you prefer pointed toes? I'm always intrested in other peoples choices, and why or why not.

Yeah these are rubber soled. I like leather for riding, but man these things work much better 99% of the time around stores, restaurants, etc.

Personally i prefer rubber soled square toe for general use and leather soled pointed toe for riding.

Those look like some really nice boots especially for that price.

I find myself leaning towards Ariats a bit lately

Those are awsome. When we lived in Oklahoma we had over 2500 pairs of the last original made in Olathe Kansas made Olathe boots when they went under and before they sold to Rios of Mercedes(business deal). I love Cowboy boots especially tall top stove pipes! Those are great looking boots, square toe, double welt. I used to wear several pairs of custom made crepe sole boots and they were the most comfortable boots ever!
