I am way more bothered by Mitt's definition of middle class, the dude/republican party is extremely out of touch.

His quarter million dollar middle class might be the deal breaker for me.

I thought that's more Obama's cut off for middle class, isn't it? No tax increase for anyone 250k or less?

and it shows how completely out of touch they all are.

I make slightly less than 250K, I fully expect my taxes to go up.

Both will have plenty of mumbo jumbo explaining to me why I did not get a tax increase though my taxes will rise.

Seriously, 250,000 dollars is middle class? If I made that kind of cake I would feel like the richest man in town.

They are both f'ing idiots, I think I will just opt out.

250k, they could call me anything they like. Hell, people already do. Bigot, even. ;)

Thank you 6.8AR. I wasn't thinking you were, just pointing out how divided the Dems were, and when LBJ did not run, and Robert Kennedy got shot, there were no real candidates left for the Democrats. I look at it as an almost default win for Nixon.

TMF: It is very difficult to separate ones religous beliefs from ones actions. Their core moral beliefs are what impacts their actions, just like your morals impact your actions. Religion is the moral compass of most out there. To claim this will not influence? Well, then what do you base moral decisions on?

I find it sad Romney's almost gleeful response to the attack on our Diplomats. Him calling $250k as the "start" of the middle class. I, also, now hear him increasing his referring and referring to Faith, and God, almost like he is trying to curry favor from some group or another. Speaks quite loudly to me.

Mormans? I live by some. Wept over the loss of a friend who was one. Chipped in for his funeral costs, and for his wife of 3 months. Yet, I do believe Mormans believe differently about the separation of church and state. Look upon Utah as an example. And yet, I do believe their religion is not Christianity, and wonder about its cult like acts.

You claim you would vote for a Shia Muslim? Hmm. I have no doubt you are one of the few here. Giving the benefit of a doubt to one running for the Presidency? Again, rare here.

Perhaps you are the better man in this instance.

"You can choose to look at it as name calling, but when you get down to the issue you are saying that a man is not qualified for a job based on his religious beliefs. To me there is a very simple definition for that."

Ah, wait, I take that last statement back.

I wrote a very well thought out and reasonable response that I would figure any person could understand. You can choose to get your panties into a bunch by being insulted but this fact remains:

You claim you will not vote for someone based on their religious beliefs. I don't need to define that. That statement defines itself.

Furthermore, you went is far in this last post to identify all those in the Mormon faith as incapable of separating their faith from professional decisions. That's another pretty broad brushstroke. Don't get offended by me simply pointing out what you have readily admitted to.

Okay gang....

I think pretty much everyone who's gonna vote has ... asking for this to be closed, but left up.

I'll do another at 30 days out, may be quite interesting to compare, especially since there may be huge swings in events to affect public perception. Hopefully they won't all be Mitt shooting himself in the head like the perceived alienation of "the 47%" that broke overnight.

He pissed a LOT of people off with those comments. Me thinks he just sealed his fate.

No he didn't. There's a brand new "outrage" warming up in the bullpen. This non-event will be covered by new BS in a week.
