Ruger Single 9

Wow...now I'm confused. Wiki says (I know, I know) that wmrf [winchester magnum rimfire] is commonly called wmr. I thought (read: assumed) wmr was center fire. Is there not an available center fire .22 cartridge? Why do most manufacturers call it just wmr?

Neat revolver. I have about 101 more questions but I really don't want to be that guy. I'll try to contain myself. :)

Edit: just checked out .22 wcf. Good grief.

It's just plain ole ".22 mag", which of course is a rimfire cartridge

WMR(F)

"Winchester Magnum RimFire"

Just don't ever see the "F", at least commonly. Guess it shows Ruger's commitment to be innovative and different. :)

Haven't seen this mentioned?

New Ruger single action in .22 WMR. They call it WMRF, never seen that designation...

There is a lot to like about what has come out of Prescott the last couple of years. I might have to pick one of these up when they hit the shelves.

Weren't the old 10/22 Magnums marked WMRF?
