Another reason I want to move to TN, the sooner the better. Where I currently reside, Black Powder guns are considered "Firearms" by the state, cut it down, possesion by a Felon, do anything with it thats illegal with a case firing firearm, and State Law kicks in that is the same as if you made an SBR in your basement.

It appears in TN, they actually consider Black Powder what they are, as the Federal Government classifies them.

1. A felon may lawfully possess a black powder weapon that meets the definition of an
“antique firearm” set forth in 18 U.S.C.§ 921(16)(C).

While Tennessee law prohibits persons convicted of certain violent felonies and drug
offenses from possessing a handgun,2 it does not prohibit an otherwise qualified felon from possesing a black powder weapon.

This opinion is based on the assumption that “black powder weapon” refers to any muzzle loading
rifle, muzzle loading shotgun, or muzzle loading pistol, which is designed to use black powder, or a
black powder substitute, and which cannot use fixed ammunition. 18 U.S.C. § 921(16)(C).

EDIT: Note that I am not a Felon looking for a \n out, or a Felon at all :x: , just pointing out that TN laws seem to be more reasonable.

Depends. We have plenty of wacky ones just for the rank and file gun owner.

And seems that even if a felon gets the rest of his rights restored federally or in any state, TN still won't recognize the firearm part of that restoration.
