Going to the steam plant tonight

CC steam plant is the destination. The target, 2-19.9lb catfish. I throw the fish bigger than 20lbs back for the breed pool.

Good luck. I haven't been to Cumberland City in years, but there are a lot worse places to kill time than Cross Creeks/Cumberland City.

I miss fishing at the TVA steam plant in Gallatin. Thanks to 9/11, it's been off limits.

Fishing was horrible. Time outside was good, but they just were not biting. TVA has some kind of bouy run along the back wall of the catwalk, so fishing the backside becomes an issue. Any decent sized fish would be near impossible to land.

We only fished until 830pm due to the storm coming in, that lightning was intense! About the only good news is that the shad are getting a little bigger in size, we actually netted some nice gizzard shad, 3-4" size, and the yellow tail shad we netted were around the 2" mark, but still small.

I'll try again in another two weeks and hopefully the stars will align a bit better for me. Semper Fi,

In another couple weeks, catfishing and white bass fishing will be getting much better. I'll let you know when I'm going...I most likely will have an extra seat in the boat.
