Recommendations for training in Memphis?

Anyone have any recommendations for handgun training in the Memphis area? I've never taken any classes beyond the HCP class, so I'm looking for whatever class is the next step up from that.

Both RangeUSA and Rangemasters have excellent instructors. Either place will do well by you.

I second that. RM and RU are like the Coke and Pepsi of Memphis firearms training. We're very lucky to have Tom Givens here, who's a world-class expert in defensive pistol use. Now if you want to go where the insiders go, where it's a bit more intense, check out Ronin Strategies. They don't offer classes that often, but when they do it's not to be missed. They have a two-day pistol class coming up the first weekend in October. It's actually a private AR15.com class, but if you contact them they may let you in.

I've had two classes from Range Masters and will be taking more...I wish Memphis was closer to me for that reason - I don't have any experience with the other but I think you'll definitely get your $ wroth from Range Masters.

If you don't mind a small amount of traveling I can also highly recommend Tactical Response in Camden - I've trained with them as well and have another class scheduled for this fall.

I've had several classes at RangeUSA and the instructors have been excellent. Other than the HCP class, the number of students has been small.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I checked everyones suggestions out. For my first class im going to do self defense handgun at range usa so that ill be able to holster draw there since its my primary range. I cant wait! Im going to sign up for the one in october if anyone reading this post wants to join me. Havent met many tgoers other than the ones ive sold guns to.
