The Fayette County Friends of NRA Committee is having a Friends of NRA Banquet next Thursday, June 12th.

Details are here.

This Committee is doing an outstanding job of planning their first event, and tickets are selling out.

Tickets are $25.00 per person, and, as of tonight, 140 out of 175 have been sold. There are 35 tickets left.

If you live in Southwest Tennessee, you will recognize the name of several vendors who are making merchandise donations, such as our friends at Guns and Ammo, RangeUSA, Classic Arms, and Sportsmans Warehouse.

This was a very good event, especially given that this was a first year committee holding their first ever event.

There were 165 people in the room, the gross reciepts were $22,000, and the net was just over $11,000.

And, the attendees left excited about coming to next year'sevent. And that excitement rubbed off on the visitors from neighboring Shelby County.

An additional items to point out is that this effort didn't turn out to be one or two people carrying the whole workload. There was a core group of 8 committee members who shared the load all the way.

So, if you're in an area where planning is underway for your event, please consider joining the fun. The results are very worthwhile.
