I live close to the NC and VA line, I have had some people interested in a few guns I have. Is there an issues with selling guns in another state or trading them if I am a TN resident. Also could I buy off a private owner in another state? Thanks.

I have never heard of anyone being prosecuted for it though. Still don't do it. I have heard of more ATF cases in the last year than I have my entire life dealing with selling firearms. They have started going after a few of the illegal sellers. Mostly charging them with profiting from firearms sales without a license. Just don't make money or give the illusion your trying to make money and you'll be fine. Don't sell to anyone without a TN ID, you don't even have to see it as long as they have one. Ask them if they are a felon, if they say no your good to go. Make sure they are over 18.(even for handguns). And most importantly if it don't seam right, don't sell.
