I had to show off my new Hero 1911.

Nashvegaskid, I'm curious what a custom 1911 can do in the accuracy dept.

Were you able to shoot it at 25 yards and measure some groups for us?

I haven't shot it at 25 yards yet.  The test target shows 4 shots at 15 yards (hand held) all in about a half inch group.  If I were to shoot it at 25 yards, my shooting abilities would not do it justice ;-)

I've owned Nighthawks and Wilsons ... they're really good guns but this Hero shoots as well or better and is a tighter fit gun than any Nighthawk or Wilson I have owned.

If any of you plan to go to the pistol match in Manchester on December 30 or January 1, I'll be there and you can see/shoot my Hero ... I'd welcome the opportunity to show it to anyone who is interested in seeing it.

TankerHC, feel free to post it where ever you please. I actually saw it on a forum from the Phillippines the other day. Jeff is amazing and anything that we can do to get the word out about this amazing Tn small business will sure help these guys out. Having a one on one relationship with the Pistolsmith crafting your dream pistol is fantastic. The Hero 1911 will be with me for awhile. I'm sitting on 6k+ rounds down range and no issues to report as of yet.

Stop in and check them out. I honestly think that the Hero-1911 is on par with (or better than) other custom guns costing way more ... and to have a gun made by a very talented local gunsmith who stands behind his work is a huge benefit vs. buying from someone in Arkansas :-)

My understanding is that Jeff left Hero Gear, opening up shop in Texas.
