I know I've told some people but consider this my formal announcement of my intent to be there. Ashley may or may not come due to some work related something or other, but I'll come for sure.

I'll have that ammo waiting on you.

I also picked up a gun rack (home made wood type, 1 each) from storage in s.c....so we'll be able to put our rifles up on that..pistols can be set on the ONE table that boom scrounged...I guess we can put ammo in cans out for folks to police their brass (its required.)

Keep in mind guys..this place is pretty primitive..there's going to be 1 table, 1 gunrack and a few ammo cans.

if you care to bring drop cloths to settle down on, thats fine.

if I can find another table I'll bring it out too...

but hey! its free.

My wife is coming to the Pratt's luncheon, in case that matters to other possible women attendees. Women are funny about that sort of thing. They don't want to be the only woman in a sea of testosterone.

We'll be at the restaurant, but have to pass on the shoot.

I'll have to dig the Glock hat out or my pickumup truck. :)

Nice! She can sit there and form a cabal with Julie and Amy (boomhowers' better half).

Actually, it'll be good to see you guys!

See y'all at Pratts at 1100. :D

Just got me a new toy today. Can't wait to see how it shoots :D

Hey Marswolf, tell your wife that she might want to pick her shoes carefully. I'll be wearing my Timberline Hikers. Women are also funny about being seen at any function wearing the same shoes as others. :(

Well my little sister is going to tag along with me. It was her birthday this week so I figured I'd be nice. Hope you all don't mind. I'm not going to make the shooting portion. I've been in Hyden, KY so long I figured I'd take advantage of this rare opportunity to see a big city.

I enjoyed meeting the folks I didn't know and seeing the folks I did.

Marswolf, sorry you couldn't join us in the field today.

Rabbit, glad you didn't break your wrist up in recoil anticipation. Could have been a "HOLE" different outcome. :stare: No hard feelings bud. If you're gonna plant tomatos or peppers in that garden you went home to work today, I want some. :stare:

Tower, thanks for having us out and for the ammo. Make sure you bring that M1 'cause I got a big tree laying across the range about 9 feet off the ground at the 80 meter mark that I need cleared.

Next month, everyone is invited down to my range.

Nice meeting all of you. My wife says that Pratts is now her favorite barbecue place in the region.

Sorry we couldn't shoot with you. This is our anniversary weekend. Today is the day. No particular plans except being together.

BTW, my wife is an excellent judge of character. Y'all passed.

Im glad I got to put some faces with some names and eat some good bbq. Sorry if I wasn't a little more talkative, I was on the tail end of a all-nighter I had to pull for work. Ending up stopping in Johnson City for a few minutes, heading straight home and hitting the sack. So much for my "seeing the city" plans.

It was awesome meeting all you guys. Props to Boom and wife for giving us a ride and putting up with my ramblings. Thanks a ton for the accomodations and ar work, Tower. We had a great time! :stare:

I totally enjoyed seeing you guys again..and meeting macho, rabbit, dave and neil.

I especially enjoyed talking to Shannon and Pat, and at some point in time I'm going to have to dig out my geneaology and continue the conversation about the camden county wiregrass.

I appologize for the primitive range conditions guys...I think that next time I'll see about a meet somewhere thats an actual range! :stare:

it was still alot of fun just the way it was!

Mike, I'll be waiting for the trip to your range with baited breath..

I enjoyed seeing familiar faces and meeting new people as well. Ashley says she had a good time as well even if she had a frightening fixation on my bayonet for most of the time, she did actually shoot some. All in all it was a good time and I wish we could have stayed a little longer. I'm also glad that this is starting to look like an actual monthly meeting, it gives me something to look forward to that has nothing to do with school.

To say that I had a good time would be the undertsatement of the century!

Neal had fun too - he was talking about the next meet and all the guns we regretted not bringing. (He's a man of few words, so if he comments on something you can bet that it is very significant)

Primitive conditions? I thought they were fine. I just wish I had concentrated the contents of the 'clock' on the tree instead of the targets!

I had a great time as well guys. I wish I could say the same for my wife. She enjoyed the company and eat's, but shooting a gun just really isn't her cup of tea. All in all, it was a good day.

Dave and Cheryl, thanks for riding up with us. It made time pass a lot faster. We enjoyed your guys company.

Wish I could have gotten out there Primitive conditions are right up my alley. I enjoy shooting in places like that. Generally, the fewer rules the better.
