Best .40 Cal for zombie killing?

The reason I am asking this about a .40 Cal is so I can use it (hopefully never need to) for self defense against humans too. So please, no debate on caliber, just manufacturers.

1. Accuracy will be paramount, as I'll be taking 100% head shots!

2. Magazine compacity would probably be next since I don't want to go down under a swarm of the biting b*sT@#$s!

3. Reliability, don't want an ill timed jam, refer back to #2 for reason.

4. I want a fullsize, but still need to consider ease of carry in a typical belt holster.

5. and insert what you think would be important to consider.

I'm seriously looking at getting a semi-auto .40, full size and need some suggestions. Have fun and thanks for furture responses. Semper Fi,

Joe

I have carried the S&W and now the Glock, both in .40. I have never had any trouble out of either if they were clean. With the Glock you can use 22 round or aftermarket 30 round clips. If I had to pick one it would be my Glock. I did qualify better with my S&W every time so I give accuracy to the Smith. The Glock clips work in my sub2000 which is a big bonus for me.

I have a Steyr M40 that is a dream to shoot but never took off here. It's a lot like the Glock, it's polymer framed, but has a fully supported chanber. The trapiziodial sights are easy to align. I got a 100% on my ccw target with it. I know getting 100% is not hard, but I finished every stage before everyone else did.

Another 40 that I like is the Sig P226. DA/SA. It's more expensive than the Steyr though. The Glock is a good one but I've not have a lot of time with it.

Another vote for the M&P. I have the full size, Compact and Shield in 40.

Accurate, reliable, excellent fit and finish, and made here by an American company.

Smith & Wesson Military & Police semi auto in .40 Smith & Wesson of course. Very accurate, very reliable, lightweight zombie killin gun. In my opinion, also the most ergonomic pistol out there. Thats important when you'll be shooting all day taking out hordes of zombies.

M&P40. Everything metal is stainless inside and out, parts, sights, holsters, and trigger upgrades are as abundant as anything out there. Ergonomics are excellent, American made, and full lifetime warranty. I just don't like Glock ergonomics, but if I had to have a Glock (and I've had several) would be the 23.

+1 for the G22 and KelTec Sub 2000. Add the G23 and you're all set.

Got a Ruger P94 in .40 I've never had a any kind of loadin, fireing, or ejecting issues of any kind. No matter what kind of ammo I feed her,she shines through

Most accurate handgun I have ever owned out the box is hands down the CZ 75 Tactical Sport mine was 9mm but it also comes in 40, full size mega accurate, best trigger ever, 16 round capacity in 40 and 20 round in 9mm.

Although I've made the decision to only buy new American Made firearms, I'd recommend a G22. Police trade-ins are priced low, and I'm fairly certain it is the most common law enforcement caliber&pistol. Glock 40's pack the most rounds in the smallest package, although not my preference, the G23 I owned was reliable and accurate.
