I read an interesting article recently on this pistol.

I'm on the fence about ordering one.

Does anyone have one and if so, do they like it ?

I just got one to shoot Wild Bunch. It was about $410 so it makes for an inexpensive way to shoot 1911's if you don't want to expose a better gun to the heavy duty use of a WB match. Mine has functioned flawlessly passing 100 factory round ball and 250 RN lead reload that have to be used in a match.

Finish isn't bad, it's supposed to look 1911ish. The markings aren't done very well, laser made I think, You can see the Rough Rider and slide markings, but other info under the front of the frame can't be read. You can understand that it was "made in the Philippines" but there are gaps. All in all it breaks down like a regular 1911, it just isn't finished out like a more expensive brand.

I don't like the lanyard loop on the grip, and I'll have to grind it off to make it legal to shoot WB. Comes with one magazine, kinda a cheepie with a butt pad so I couldn't use it anyway. I'm using Chip McCormick magazines without a hitch.

I would just go ahead and get a Rock Island for about the same money. I have had a Rock Island and know many other folks who own or have owned one and they are great 1911's. Armscor have been producing guns in the Philippines since 1952.

I've looked again, this time with glasses & a bright light. I think if it was laser you could see it better so the under slide part of the frame was probably stamped. It says - AP INTL PAHRUMP NV with PHILIPPINES under it.
