Picked up my Sig P290 yesterday

My Sig P290 (w/laser) came in from Bud's yesterday ($479 shipped and paid for on Friday, 2 business days shipping) and my first impression is WOW! This is one if the few guns I have ordered without seeing a model in person first. I could not resist the price though. After shooting my P250 and falling in love with it's trigger I went ahead and took the plunge.

I have been bragging on the P250's great and smooth DAO trigger and the P290 is even better. The P290 has a wonderful feel to it. Some reviews call the gun thick or chunky and I just do not see it. The specs are .90" wide. It feels very slim in the hand and waistband. It is just heavy enough to feel solid without being too heavy. It is hard to believe it is a 9mm while holding. I owned a Kel Tec PF9 and P11 in the past and the P290 feels much smaller.

Like I stated above it comes with a low profile removable laser and 2 mags, one 6 round and one 8 round. I have bought a lot of handguns over the years and I think the P290 has impressed me more than any other gun on first impressions. Hopefully I will still be as enthusiastic after it's first range trip this weekend
