They need to actually prosecute the people with the guns and drugs instead of letting them plea out to protect their conviction rate. Don't punish the law abiding citizens for weak prosecutors.

Illinois. They offer Illinois veterans a free ride after their service, and that's not even enough to get me to move back there. The real problem is the Northern part of the state. If they could split it up good ole southern Illinois would be a great state.

As a former Illinois cop I have a message for you Mr. Mayor. The Police can’t protect anyone…. Period. Anyone that thinks they can is a fool. So, if they are going to speak out they will have to protect themselves. However, you have taken away their right to protect themselves by disarming them, while the people you want them to speak out against are very well armed. Get a clue.

I take exception with this. Apparently by spending millions of dollars and thousands of officer hours each year they are able to protect the mayor... Easy to be antigun when you have a protection bubble that is armed to the teeth...
