I don't see any law like this applying to recording private individuals if you're in a public place. With public officials there's no way at all I could see this standing.

It's Illinois; they tend to do what they damn well please there and the Constitution is just about last on their list of concerns.

The People's State of Illinois will

eventually pay for this stupidity.

They may also eventually throw

some of their dictators out of office.

That DA will end up as another

Mike Naifong. He's heading in the

right direction.

Here is what an Illinois Judge said when he ruled the charges unconstitutional a year ago.

A statute intended to prevent unwarranted intrusions into a citizen’s privacy cannot be used as a shield for public officials who cannot assert a comparable right of privacy in their public duties," wrote Circuit Court Judge David Frankland. "Such action impedes the free flow of information concerning public officials and violates the First Amendment right to gather such information."

Anyone still think that America is not a police state?

I hear that alot but how can America be a police state? It's not any kind of state, it's a country.

Illinois may be a police state, as are a few others but that's not to say America as a whole is.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, just one of those things I hear that always makes me scratch my head. When I think nanny state or police state I think of a few particular states, not the whole country.

So, Hillary is Secretary of Country?
