Still have mine and I fire a few round through every month pretty much.  Shame you had issues with yours.  Do you have any pics of the issue by chance?

 

 

 

 

Did they license it or redesign it?  It looks like they are still making them.

 

Never looked into it any deeper.

No, didn't think to take pics. Got a email from Taurus USA today. I guess Taurus in doing their warranty work,:

 

We are in receipt of your merchandise.
Processing should take approximately 6 weeks from the date of receipt.

It shot well enough, just could not change a magazine without bullet getting hung on the firing pin sticking out. I got it for a warm weather pocket gun and could have lived with it as I do not carry a spare mag anyway.
